A morning briefing
Ask what needs you today. See your client list and where each client is, and who is waiting on a partner to sign off.
AI assistant · MCP
Cliénta connects to the AI assistant your firm already uses through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard. Ask who needs chasing, what is waiting for sign-off, or what changed at Companies House, in plain English.
TESCO PLC
Active company on the Companies House register. Here are its current officers and their roles, and its persons with significant control.
Free company lookup. No Cliénta account needed.
For Cliénta firms · Growth and Enterprise
Once your firm is on Cliénta, your assistant can work with your live client list, in the same conversation as everything else you use it for.
Ask what needs you today. See your client list and where each client is, and who is waiting on a partner to sign off.
Before a partner reviews a client, get a short summary of that client with any gaps flagged, so the review starts in the right place.
Find the clients who have stalled and draft a personal reminder for each one. Send them when you are happy with the wording.
Pull up AML records and the inspection pack, and draft a risk assessment for your MLRO to review and approve.
See the changes to review for clients you have already onboarded, such as new officers or a change of name.
Ask why a client is not in Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or FreeAgent, see the reason, and retry the sync.
Create clients from your practice-management tool or your own automations, and react when something happens in onboarding.
See who on the team is overloaded, where clients drop off, and the median number of days it takes to onboard a client.
Built for regulated firms
The assistant reads, drafts and sends reminders. Sign-off, AML approval, overriding a check and deleting a client stay in Cliénta and are never available to it.
AI assistant access is off by default. A firm admin has to turn it on.
Each connection is limited to read, remind or write, so you choose exactly what an assistant can do.
Every action the assistant takes is recorded in your Cliénta audit log.
Dates of birth, ID documents, NI numbers and UTRs are never passed to the assistant.
Your Cliénta data is hosted in the UK.
Switching it on
A firm admin switches on "AI assistant access" in Company Settings.
Sign in with your Cliénta login from the assistant and approve, or create an "AI assistant (MCP)" API key on the Developers page. Either way you choose its permissions.
Follow the steps for your assistant below, or the setup guide inside Cliénta.
Set-up guides
The free lookup needs no Cliénta account. Get your personal link with the form above, then use it wherever these steps say "your personal link". In commands and config, swap the example address for your link.
Connecting your firm needs the Growth or Enterprise plan, and a firm admin must first switch on "AI assistant access" in Cliénta. You then either sign in with your Cliénta login and approve the connection, or use an API key created on the Developers page (type "AI assistant (MCP)"). Whichever you use, Write permission never includes sign-off, AML approval or deleting a client.
For claude.ai, Claude Desktop and the Claude mobile apps. Add the connector on the web or in Desktop and it is available in the mobile apps too. The Free plan allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans an Owner adds it under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web, then members choose Connect.

claude mcp add --transport http clienta https://api.clienta.co.uk/api/v1/mcp/ --header "Authorization: Bearer sk_live_YOUR_KEY"Adding your own MCP server is only offered on some ChatGPT plans and workspaces, and on business workspaces an admin may need to add it. If you don't see Add custom MCP server, it isn't available to your account yet. ChatGPT connects by sign-in only, not with API keys.

Search by name or company number, LLPs included. Returns the Companies House profile, the current officers with their roles, and the persons with significant control.
Search by name or registered number. Returns the entry on the Charity Commission register for England and Wales, including status, charitable objects and trustees.
Is it valid, and whose is it? Checks the number with HMRC and returns the name of the business it is registered to.
Using ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor or another assistant? See the steps for your assistant.
Results come from the public Companies House and Charity Commission registers, and HMRC's VAT number check. Each link is rate limited so the lookup stays fair for everyone, and we don't keep a record of what you look up.
Any assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP). That includes Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop and the mobile apps), Claude Code, ChatGPT where adding a custom MCP server is available on your plan, Cursor, VS Code with GitHub Copilot, the Codex CLI and other MCP clients. The set-up guides above have the steps for each.
Cliénta never sends identity documents, dates of birth, NI numbers or UTRs to the assistant, only summaries. What the assistant provider does with your conversations depends on your firm's own plan and settings with that provider, so check those before you connect.
No. Connecting your firm’s Cliénta data is included in the Growth and Enterprise plans. The company, charity and VAT lookup is free for anyone. You just need a personal link, which we email to you.
No. Sign-off, AML approval, overriding a check and deleting a client are never available to the assistant. Those decisions stay with your team, inside Cliénta.
So we can send you a personal link. Each link is rate limited, which keeps the service fair for everyone. You do not need a Cliénta account, and marketing emails are optional.
We keep your email address and when your link was last used. We do not keep a record of what you look up. See our privacy notice for how long we keep your details.
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets an AI assistant connect to other software. Cliénta uses it so you can work with your onboarding data from the assistant you already use.
